  • €2,400 - €3,900 per month

Kick-start your IT career at Victron Energy! Get hands-on with hardware and IT support, learn Microsoft 365, Intune and Entra ID, and grow your skills with hands-on training.

Job description

We’re looking for a Junior IT Support Specialist to join our IT team in Almere. You’ll work on-site, directly alongside our IT Director, helping to keep the day-to-day IT support and hardware running smoothly for around 150 users, with approximately 40 people working on-site in Almere each day.

This is genuinely a role where you can learn and grow. We care less about diplomas and more about your interest in IT, your motivation, and what you’ve already explored or built yourself. Maybe you’ve studied IT, built your own PCs, set up a home server, or you’re simply the person friends and family call when they have a technical problem. We’re also open to candidates looking to take their first steps into IT through a BBL apprenticeship.

You’ll start with the fundamentals and gradually take on more responsibility. Once you’ve mastered the day-to-day basics, we’ll train you further in modern workplace management, including Microsoft 365, Intune, and Entra ID.

What you’ll do

  • Prepare and install new computers, including unboxing, enrollment, configuration, and handover to users.

  • Carry out basic maintenance on desktops, laptops, and peripherals.

  • Support and maintain printers, including paper and toner issues, jams, drivers, and replacements.

  • Install and connect monitors, docking stations, and other workplace equipment.

  • Reboot, replace, move, and reinstall equipment around the office.

  • Help colleagues with first-line IT questions and escalate more complex issues when needed.

  • Carry out small, clearly defined projects under guidance, such as desk moves or hardware rollouts.

  • Keep track of hardware inventory and make sure the IT storage area and workbench remain tidy and organised.

Job requirements

What you bring

  • A genuine interest in IT and the motivation to keep developing your skills. To us, this matters more than what’s written on your diploma.

  • Practical IT experience in any form. This could include your own home lab, self-built PCs, helping friends and family with technical problems, scripting, modding, or other personal IT projects.

  • The ability to work independently while being comfortable asking questions when you don’t know something.

  • A practical mindset: you’d rather get hands-on and solve a problem than spend too much time talking about it.

  • Reliability and attention to detail: you finish what you start and don’t cut corners.

  • Good communication skills in both Dutch and English. This is required because our working environment is bilingual. Additional languages are welcome but not essential.

  • You’re comfortable lifting and moving equipment and working at different desks throughout the building.

  • A completed or ongoing IT qualification, such as MBO ICT or similar, is welcome but explicitly not required. We’re much more interested in your motivation, curiosity, and the practical experience you’ve gained yourself.

What we offer

  • A paid position with real responsibility from day one; this isn’t an internship where you’ll just be fetching coffee.

  • The possibility of a BBL apprenticeship or work-study programme if you’re still in education.

  • Personal, hands-on training from an experienced IT Director.

  • A clear development path from hardware and first-line support towards modern workplace management, including Intune, Entra ID, and Microsoft Defender.

  • A varied working week where no two days are the same.

  • A salary of €2,400–€3,900 gross per month, based on 40 hours and excluding 8% holiday allowance. Your salary will depend on your knowledge and experience, with room to grow as your responsibilities increase.

  • For BBL candidates: a salary based on your age and year of study, above the statutory BBL minimum, with a salary increase after each successfully completed academic year. All training costs are covered.

  • A very attractive quarterly bonus scheme, with a Q4 bonus linked to performance and growth over the previous year.
